Bakery

A bakery (or baker's shop) is an establishment which produces and sells flour-based food baked in an oven such as bread, cakes, pastries, pies. Some retail bakeries are also cafes, serving coffee and tea to customers who wish to consume the baked goods on the premises. Some bakery shops provide services for special occasions such as weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, or even a business events. Bakery shops can provide a wide range of cakes design such as sheet cake, layer cakes, tiered cakes, and wedding cakes. Other bakeries may specialize in traditional or hand made types of bread made with locally milled flour, without flour bleaching agents or flour treatment agents, baking what is sometimes referred to as artisan bread.

Wallpaper Description:

Cookie Dough Ingredients:
1 stick of butter, softened to room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cookie Dough Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer.
Add in baking powder and flour. Mix well.
Next, add in the egg and vanilla.
Mix on medium-high until sides of bowl are clean and dough begins to form a ball.
Remove dough and knead by hand. (My dough was pretty sticky, so use plenty of flour)
Form into a ball and place in plastic wrap. Cover and set in fridge to chill 30 minutes.
Remove chilled dough and place on flour-dusted surface.
Roll out to 1/8-inch thickness. Use a shot glass or round cookie cutter, cut into 1 1/2-inch diameter circles. You should have 18 circles. (The shot glass was such a huge help)
Place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
Bake in preheated oven for 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and let cool on cooling racks.
Icing Ingredients:

1 cup confectioner’s (powdered) sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1-2 tablespoons hot water

Icing Directions:

Place all ingredients into a small bowl and mix well with a spoon, adding hot water as needed until you have a thin, gravy-like consistency.
