Yellow and Purple

Yellow and purple are complimentary colors on a color wheel. They are often found in nature ie. on flowers. The reason why the two colors compliment each other is because purple comes from mixing blue and red, both of which are primary colors that oppose one another in intensity. This could be why they look so stunning together. Yellow is a pure hue, as is blue and red.

This "lion" is one of many, I'm afraid.

Yep, this is part of my lawn.

There are lots of dandelions, but we have violets also. This dandelion found it's way into the middle of a patch of them. Weeds, perhaps, but they are so pretty! I don't have the heart to dig them up and my husband is too busy, so they are safe for now!

PS. Dandelions can be used as wine or tea. It's leaves can be eaten cooked or raw leaves can be put into salads.
