Traffic Signals nSigns

For many years, I've been extremely interested in traffic lights and railroad grade crossings. I've also been very interested in traffic & road signs and in the ways that they've changed over the years. For example, I remember when triangular Yield Signs in Michigan used to be a deep yellow with navy blue lettering. Now they are red & white... and I still miss the old ones!

Take a look at the Header and the Avatar to this group, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what kind of wallpapers to put here.

UPDATE: Since the Avatar & the Header/Cover Image Refused to load properly, I have made them into Wallpapers. If you click on the Journal Post Link in Group Details, you will see them. Also in this journal post are great examples of what I am looking for. You may discover that some of your own wallpapers have been used as examples! :D

Wallpaper submissions will be monitored... but don't worry, this group will be checked very frequently! I'm very excited about this group and am looking forward to seeing what is contributed. : )

Wallpaper Description:

Well... I knew a good Christmas idea for Traffic Signals nSigns when I saw one, even if it was out of season when I saw it. Some joker had stuck a big red round sticker on a Deer Crossing Sign. I had a good laugh when I saw it. There were a couple of problems though. I didn't pass this particular sign very often, and when I did, I never had time to stop and photograph it.

I began looking for any Deer Crossing sign to photograph that I could find. I made an interesting discovery; deer, in my area of Michigan at least, don't seem to like crossing roads where there is handy parking available. Finally, on a sunny day in early December, I parked my care at the edge of a parking lot and walked about a quarter of a mile to take a picture of this one. (I've added Rudolph's red nose to the photo in honor of the sign I don't get to drive by much.)

The quarter mile walk was worth it, in my opinion! :D

PS. I took this sign and had fun making an abstract of Santa and his whole team of reindeer! Here is the link:
