I am Enrolled member of the Klamath tribe in Southern Oregon state, near the Oregon & California Border. We were Restored in 1980. they took our lands because of the timber & water & they Wanted CRATER LAKE. Our most Sacred site for their own. So our Tribe was TERMINATED in 1959. My mother is writing a book on our TRIBAL History, I am very proud of my heritage & Culture. We are practicing Indians & I have danced since I was a child. I hope to meet other Native people from other Tribes & Nations.

thank you Debra for your insight as to why you have joined this group--as a Native North American myself or as we are referred to here in Canada -First Nations--I understand the way that governments like to be that they just take SACRED SITES and without any regard to The People
I am a traditional Native woman and enjoy being so and am proud of the history and culture of my people and all the other Nations that are here on Turtle Island

Hi Ellen
I joined the group because even playing as a child I wanted to be an "Indian"! As I grew up I was fascinated by the more accurate history of the North American Indian tribes. Such films as A Man Called Horse & sequel and Dances with Wolves I found resonated with me. And then I read Dan Brown! The Fetterman Massacre and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. Words are not adequate. They should never be forgotten. Thanks for this opportunity to help keep the memory alive. Best wishes Hdev

Of course it was Dee Brown who wrote the books, not Dan Brown
