Victory Gal Death Machine

Victory Gal Death Machine is by the artist Glen Angus, (1970, 2007) I have only known of him for about four weeks before the time of this post however his apparent passion for WWII aircraft and nose art is clearly seen in his work.

I'm not an artist, I've never even had any training as an artist. Hell I've never even painted with numbers before coming to DN. But haven't you ever seen a photo of something in a book, or heard that peace of music that just moved you to say or think "I wish I could do that."

Well I wanted to fly and for all the wrong reasons that never happened. Most of us can say "I wish I can do that" but we always seem to make excuses why we can't do it. Life really is short and life really does happen when you're busy making other plans. With everything our mind is bombarded with over the years I believe Nike said it best... JUST DO IT.

After seeing this image of a woman and aircraft and not so much for what it represents but for the softness, detail, and style of the artistry I said "I wish I could do that."

Glen Angus is the reason I'm learning PS. One day will be here when I can say "I made this."
