A Bit of Heaven's Glory

It's been exactly 3 days since my Dad passed away. There is still a hollow place in my heart... but also gratitude for everybody on DN who supported me during that difficult, difficult, time.

To My Dear Friends/Fans of Desktop Nexus,

As many, if not all of you know, my Dad was in Hospice care for a little over a week. On Friday, September 5th, he passed away about 9AM. He was in his late 80's, so he had a good, long, life.

Although it is very hard, especially for my Mom, we are thankful for his sake that he passed away. He had numerous health issues that were not going to improve, and were affecting his quality of life especially during the last 3 years.

I am glad to say that in hospice, he was pain free.
We played him all of his favorite music, and kept him company for about 12 hours every day (in shifts). For the last few days, however, he was asleep almost all of the time.

I've been home very little during the past week. Yesterday, I spent a lot of time creating this wallpaper. I made it in honor of my Dad. I also made it to thank you wonderful DN members for all of the support you have given me through encouraging posts, PMs, and prayers.

God is good. He cares deeply about us. It is my sincere hope that someday, when I get to Heaven, I will see you there...in a little corner reserved for Desktop Nexus Members.(I can dream, can't I?)
