Welcome to “Easy Viewing."

What we are looking for in general, is wallpapers that are icon friendly. In other words, a practical wall that will enable people’s icons to show easily, but have attractiveness and style as well.

Walls in this group should have some or all of the following characteristics.

Low contrast muted patterns or images

Blurred backgrounds

A solid background with a small logo on it, or a border down a side of a solid wallpaper.

Solid colored walls are fine. Brighter and pale colors are fine also, as long as there are no sharp contrasts in them.

Walls with a small brighter splash of color or colors.

Walls with several colors are fine as long as the hues and patterns don't cause icons to be hard to read.

January 25, 2015 Hi all... I am going to stop moderating submissions now, and see how it goes. I'll be checking often, to make sure that walls fit in well. Happily, most of them have. : )

CollieSmile : ) There are many busily patterned, high contrast walls on Desktop Nexus. I've created many of that type myself. Numerous groups exist for this type of wallpapers already.   That's exactly why I believe there's a genuine need for this "Easy Viewing" group on DN. Most of the walls in this group won't be the kind that make it to the DN home page. But once people learn about this group, I believe they will be very happy to have many simpler & plainer wallpapers to choose from and download. Walls with, bright contrasting colors, or sharply focused patterns & designs won’t be a good fit here. If you decide to add wallpapers to this group, a good rule of thumb will be to study the wall on your own computer screen. If your icons are easy to see, and the wall has low contrast or blurred look it will be a good candidate for this group. Remember: Easy viewing means "Easy on the eyes.:) Some tag words for this group: blurred, blurry, peaceful, soothing, homemade, homemades. (If you think of other tags that would be helpful, let me know and I will add them.)
