What kind of treats would a dog enjoy for Halloween?

If you own a dog or dogs, that is an easy question to answer. I had a lot of fun thinking of treats that Katie, my tricolor smooth collie, would love for Halloween, when I designed the picture frame that surrounds her profile.

She'd love dog biscuits, of course. We don't give her hamburgers or chops, but she can dream, can't she? lol

The puppies in the ring surrounding her represents the dogs she likes to play with at the dog park. She gets along beautifully with other dogs, if they don't try to boss her around. (If they do, they will find out that she is one of the fastest runners at the dog park!)

I put the Jack O Lanterns in the orange "treat ring" surrounding her just for fun, but actually, Katie and other dogs like to eat cooked pumpkin! It is good for dogs, and easy on their digestive tracts. Some dog breeders give their dogs pumpkin when their stomachs are upset. (Every dog's digestive system is different, however, so if you want to give pumpkin to your dog for the first time, start with a small amount, just to be safe.)

The spider hanging from the web is for Halloween, but actually, Katie likes spiders! From her point of view, they Are a treat. If she spots one on the floor, she follows it around and paws at it. To her, a spider is a toy to play with. Needless to say, the spider does not appreciate her as much as she appreciates i!.

I took this photograph of Katie at a Doggy Halloween Party that was held at our local Dog Park a couple of days ago. I called her a "Hawaiian Dollg", because of the lei she is wearing around her neck. :D

Here is a link to the other wallpaper that I uploaded of Katie in her Halloween get up. She is running through the Dog Park in this one. :)

PS. Smooth Collies are exactly the same breed as rough Collies (think Lassie) The only difference is the coat length. Here is a link to the 1st wallpaper that I made of her, in case you want to learn more about them:
