Group Details
Belgium, officially the Kingdom of Belgium, is a sovereign state. It is a small, densely populated country. Belgium is home to two main linguistic groups: the Dutch-speaking, mostly Flemish community and the French-speaking, mostly Walloon population. The largest cities are Brussels, Antwerp, Gent and Bruges.
The Netherlands, also known informally as Holland, together with three island territories in Caribbean forms the main constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The European portion of the Netherlands consists of 12 provinces. The five largest cities are Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven.
Luxembourg, officially the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a landlocked country. Its capital, Luxembourg City, together with Brussels and Strasbourg, is one of the three official capitals of the European Union. Its culture, people and languages are highly intertwined with its neighbours, making it essentially a mixture of French and Germanic cultures. This is emphasized by the three official languages, Luxembourgish, French, and German.
