Being Thankful (In All Circumstances) Even Covid 19...

I was originally going to put the words "Have a Happy Thanksgiving" on this wallpaper. Instead I decided to make it into a wallpaper that can be used any time it is needed.

I need this wallpaper right now. Yes, I have many blessings in my life that I'm thankful for. Although I'm an empty nester, I have family, including my first grandchild, food, clothing, shelter, and so much more. And I'm so thankful for Desktop Nexus, where I've made many friends and have been able to joyfully create wallpapers.

But there is a painful ache in my heart right now. My mother, who is almost 90 now, has been experiencing some of the difficulties that come with being a senior. She has lost many dear friends, and is having memory issues.

All I can do at this point is pray; for guidance in what to do and how to best help her. Change is so hard...

All of us face challenges and difficult situations in some area of our life.

Let's all remember to count our blessings, even in the hard times. I am dedicating this wallpaper to everyone on Desktop Nexus, and beyond.

UPDATE: Thursday November 25, Thanksgiving Day 2021

My Mom is still having memory issues and they are not getting any better. She is very fortunate to still be living in her home. My daughter and her husband moved in with her about a year and a half ago. I have been so thankful that she has not needed to go into assisted living where Covid 19 has run rampant and taken it's toll.

As I write this, I am in self quarantine with my husband. We were directly exposed to Covid 19 by my son's family. This is out of right field, because there are very few people who have taken more precautions than they have. They have no idea how they got it, but wonder if it might have happened through one of their very young unvaccinated children.

My husband is trying to arrange for Covid tests even as I write this. It's going to be a quiet and rather strange Thanksgiving Day for us this year.

We have high hopes that we will test negative since we are fully vaccinated and have gotten the booster shot, but who knows? I am so glad that God has our backs. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that He will see us through this time. We confessed our sin to Him many years ago and accepted Him into our hearts. It is good to have peace that passes all understanding in these strange and difficult times.
