Violet Shades

Violet is a bright bluish purple color that takes its name from the violet flower. On the traditional color wheel used by painters, it is located between blue and purple.

Violet is at the lower end of spectrum of light, with a wavelength between approximately 380-450 nanometers. Light with a lower wavelength is called ultra-violet, and is invisible.

In western culture, violet is the color most commonly associated with the extravagant, the individualist, ambiguity, the unconventional, and the artificial.

Wallpaper Description:

I was experimenting with a photograph. When this design came out, it instantly reminded me of my life-- the last year in particular! I've experienced a lot of challenging times and losses. At times things have seemed totally haywire!

No pity party intended here though. :) Everybody has rough years... thank goodness we don't all experience them at the same time, or we wouldn't be able to pick each other up when we are down!

I am just thrilled that I've inadvertently created a picture of my life here. This is it! I feel like I've found a piece of myself! :D
