Traffic Signals nSigns

For many years, I've been extremely interested in traffic lights and railroad grade crossings. I've also been very interested in traffic & road signs and in the ways that they've changed over the years. For example, I remember when triangular Yield Signs in Michigan used to be a deep yellow with navy blue lettering. Now they are red & white... and I still miss the old ones!

Take a look at the Header and the Avatar to this group, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what kind of wallpapers to put here.

UPDATE: Since the Avatar & the Header/Cover Image Refused to load properly, I have made them into Wallpapers. If you click on the Journal Post Link in Group Details, you will see them. Also in this journal post are great examples of what I am looking for. You may discover that some of your own wallpapers have been used as examples! :D

Wallpaper submissions will be monitored... but don't worry, this group will be checked very frequently! I'm very excited about this group and am looking forward to seeing what is contributed. : )

Wallpaper Description:

An alternative name for this wallpaper would be "Has it Rained Enough Yet?"

I'm rather tired of gray skies, rain, tornadoes, and flooding. I'm sure that many people all over the USA and Canada would agree with that! I am very thankful that so far our basement didn't get flooded this year and that none of Michigan's tornadoes touched down near us.

We've had gray skies 80 percent of our daylight hours this month. That's hasn't been good for photography, especially when I'm looking for cheerful photos for Desktop Nexus. One day when gray skies were in ample supply, however, I saw a Stop Sign reflection in a couple of puddles. I took several photos of it.

This particular shot caught a car in the puddles as well. You can see the car in the lower corner of the wallpaper. I flipped the photo upside down for effect. Now I'm totally used to it this way!

PS. Here is the link to one more puddle photo: I colored it up quite a bit. lol
