Christmas is a beautiful and wondrous time of the year. But... have you ever felt frazzled and weary from getting ready for Christmas day?

I have lost count of the times over the years, that I have slipped a coat on and stood outside my own door, and took in the peace and stillness of the night. I've looked at the pretty lights on many of the houses, and breathed in the fresh air. And so often this Christmas Carol starts going in my head...

Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace...

It is so good to find a quiet place midst all of the hustle and bustle, and remember what Christmas is really all about. No gift that we can give or get can lift a candle to the priceless gift that God Himself gave to us so long ago. Jesus Christ, our Savior was born, to save us all from our sins.

That is what I was thinking about when I made this wallpaper. The very best gift of all. Merry Christmas, everyone.
