Orange Red and Green

Orange represents: the color of sunset, fruit, vegetables, joy, friendship...

Red represents: the color of fire, zest for life (is the color of; wine, fruit and blood)

Green represent: healing power of nature, security, health, loyalty and patriotism, etc.

This combination is a favorite in marketing, educational campus, sport teams and events and anything fighting for the instant appeal promising a sense of safety, mixed with excitement. Many photographers use this color combinations in their work.

Wallpaper Description:

I named this design for the circle of 16 light orange maple leaves that form a large circle in the middle of the wallpaper. Red Maple leaves form a lot of the background also. Of the 3 designs that I uploaded today, the leaves are the most recognizable in this wallpaper.

From 2012 through 2017 I created Autumn designs similar to this one. I would collect about 300 leaves of every shape and color, and flatten them in books. Then I'd take photographs of them to make kaleidoscope designs. As much as I loved doing it, collecting and working with the leaves was very hard on my back. Reluctantly I stopped my leaf collecting in 2017.

Well this year, I couldn't stand it any more. I was in one of my favorite nature parks and I kept seeing beautiful leaves at my feet. Here and there, I began picking some of them up... and for a wonder, my temperamental back did not object.

After I had gathered a lot of leaves, I went to the nature cabin in the middle of the park. I borrowed a folding chair from them and set it down on a patch of ground that was already covered in yellow and brown leaves. I arranged the colorful leaves I'd collected on top of them and started taking pictures. Soon I had many photos to work with.

The designs I've created this year tend to have more depth to them because I wasn't able to flatten the leaves like I usually do. Also, since I wasn't able to hand pick every leaf, some of the leaf colors, especially the brown shades, are somewhat faded. But I'm thrilled with what I was able to create... for the first time in 4 years! I hope you like them too.
