Although Katy wore this for the MTV awards, I've uploaded it to commemorate the 2019 Met Gala's Camp theme. The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute, in New York City USA, has a fundraiser the first Monday in May to mark the opening of the its annual fashion exhibit. Each year's event celebrates the theme of that year's Costume Institute exhibition, that sets the tone for the formal dress of the night where guests are expected to choose their fashion to match the theme of the exhibit.The gala, arranged by Vogue, is organized by Anna Wintour who approves the guest list in advance. Each guest donates money ($35,000/seat to $300,000/table) to the museum and enjoys musical performances and refreshments as well as displaying the creativity of their designers while entering via the pink carpet.
