Welcome to hyacinths group!

This is one of the flowers that is easily forgotten until Spring time when we may see them sold in pots as a gift for sick, mothers or just to us. They are not easy to grow and tend to grow small and sparse in their second or third year, unless they are dug out after the flowering season and stored up in a dry and cool place. They can be planted again in Fall. They need frost to activate them from dormancy. Hyacinths are perennials in cool climates like Holland, but annuals/biennials in more moderate climates like Italy, France, US and some other countries around the world.
