Dandelion Flowers

The dandelion actually has a Latin name of Taraxacum, which comes from the french word for "Lions Tooth". While a lot of people look at this flower as a weed, to other people it has some meaning. The floral meaning of the dandelion is that it is a gift to a loved one that will provide happiness and is a promise of total faithfulness. SO, it can mean a lot to some people. Whether pretty yellow flower or white puff head the dandelion has a beauty all it's own.

Wallpaper Description:

We are going through a drought now in Michigan, as I know many people in the USA are. The grass is not photogenic at all now... it looks like a dry stubby field of straw!

I photographed this fuzzy back in May, when our grass was still rich full and green. I can't help but think of a full moon when I see one of these- a full moon made of sparkly seed stars!:D
