Dandelion Flowers

The dandelion actually has a Latin name of Taraxacum, which comes from the french word for "Lions Tooth". While a lot of people look at this flower as a weed, to other people it has some meaning. The floral meaning of the dandelion is that it is a gift to a loved one that will provide happiness and is a promise of total faithfulness. SO, it can mean a lot to some people. Whether pretty yellow flower or white puff head the dandelion has a beauty all it's own.

When it comes to flowers, honeybees don't discriminate. To them, a dande1ion is just as important as a tulip or a lily. I took a photo of this bee on a dandelion in May. He is by a big log in my back yard. I'm especially glad to add it to the Dandelion Group and the Bee Group.
