Blue is the color of trust and peace. It can suggest loyalty and integrity as well as conservatism and frigidity.

Variations of the Color Blue

Sky Blue: One of the calmest colors, sky blue inspires selfless love and fidelity. It is non-threatening and promotes a helpful nature that can overcome all obstacles. It is the universal healer.

Azure Blue:A color of true contentment, azure inspires determination and ambition to achieve great things, a sense of purpose in striving for goals.

Dark Blue: Dark blue is the color of conservatism and responsibility. Although it appears to be cool, calm and collected, it is the color of the non-emotional worrier with repressed feelings, the pessimist and the hypocrite. Dark blue can be compassionate but has trouble showing it as its emotions run deep. Dark blue is a serious masculine color representing knowledge, power, and integrity, and is used quite often in the corporate world.

I like and agree with all of your descriptions and values given to the blue color. IMO, everyone has affinity to blue because, we can all identify with it regardless of what color our eyes are. Blue depicts a cooler spectrum of light, which we turn to for emotional peace of mind and spiritual connection with the far and hard to reach places. Its calms us, refreshes us, frightens us. We need that stimuli to reconnect with the natural world and escape from our 'flesh and blood/ earthy nature. We have preferences to what blues we like the most. My favorite blues are: azure (because of its connection with the sea and sky), sapphire blue (because it's the cleanest and deepest of all blues) and aqua (for its strong connection with daylight). I also like purple tones.
