Wallpaper Description:

...with some dark leaf shadows thrown in. :D

Every year I like to create a few wallpapers using Autumn leaves and a kaleidoscope tool. I take photos of leaves especially for this purpose.

Most of the time, I like to leave some recognizable leaves or leaf pieces in the design. This wall is an exception. It's easy to see leaf stems in this design as well as dark shadows made by some of the leaves, which I photographed in late afternoon sunlight. But the leaves themselves are very blended in.

Even though individual leaves don't show up well, I liked the zigzag pattern of the leaf stems so much that I decided to go with it. I was also happy with the red "bowtie" butterfly shapes that are between the two zigzags.

PS. The photo I used for this wallpaper had Sweetgum, Beech, Turkey Oak, Norway Maple, and Red Maple leaves in it, among others.
