Color on Black

This group is about color on black backgrounds. If you scroll the images that are already here, you'll know what we want.

Color on black backgrounds is the safest option to send here. Anything else, well... if the main subject sits or is surrounded by black..., that is acceptable. I don't want images that have no black at all or in very small amounts.

All are welcome!

How much black

emma999 says: 2 Months Ago
Just how much black should the image have? It depends, the rule of a thumb is; more black the better or else, it has to give an impression that whatever you are looking at is emerging out of a black background.

Images like;

Spring Tea Time, Lovely digital flowers, Lion, Gift Wrap, Two Hearts, Pretty Flowers and Pirate's Ship are all good examples of these rules being stretched and extended, but not broken. So darken corners of a room i.e. might count as an image being placed on a black background. In other words, literal or not so literal applications are OK.
