Other Names for Budgies

Hi Jessowey,I joined this group because I love these cheeky little birds. I owned them from time to time while I was growing up. Also, I'll have one or two wallpapers that I can add to the group... I just have to find the time to refine the photos and upload them.
I had a hard time finding this group, however, and I'll tell you why.
In the United States we call these birds Parakeets. We also know them as Budgies, or Budgerigars, but I think that Parakeet might be the most common name used for them in the United States.
I believe if you list some tag words under "Group Details", this group will show up in the search bar. As it is right now, this group only appears if you type the word "budgies."
Here are the words that I suggest adding:
Budgie, Budgerigars, Parakeet, Parakeets, Bird, Birds
Come to think of it, some people in America also call them "Love Birds", so that would be another good tag to add.
Perhaps you can think of some more. If you use these words, I have a feeling that you will get a lot more members with wallpapers to contribute. There are a lot of people who love birds on Desktop Nexus. They may not realize that this group exists yet, because it is hard to find.
CollieSmile/Elaine :)
PS. Don't forget to add all of those tag words to your budgie wallpapers also! :D

Hi Jessowey, I'm a new member to your group, glad to see you flying the flag for us.I have a suggestion as well, these birds are also called "Grass Parrots", as they are in fact Parrots, perhaps you could also point this out in your description.
Great to see a group dedicated to Budgies, I have two of them as pets and I would have a lot more if I had the room.
Good luck with the Group and you have another satisfied Member.
