Tessenjutsu (鉄 扇 术, which literally means "Iron Fan Techniques") is the martial art of the Japanese war fan. It is based on the use of the solid iron fan or the folding iron fan , and it has been seen that it is used predominantly by Madara Uchiha of Konoha who exercises a gunbai and Temari of Sunagakure who handles a giant folding fan. They are extremely resistant and like weapons, they are not made of materials that a normal fan would be, therefore, their use can be applied in different ways ranging from attacks to the long or short distance. Apparently, tessenjutsu is taught within Sunagakure as seen during theFourth Great Shinobi World War . Each Fan design has different abilities, but they are usually used in combination with the Wind Element to create powerful gusts of wind.
