What does BGIV stand for?

I have difficulty remembering this group because I don't know what BGIV means so... I send such images to other groups and only recently I've remembered that there is another group to do with cool colors. Can someone tell me what that abbreviation means?

Hi Emma... I'm sorry that I didn't see your question earlier-- it's a good one. : )ROYGBIV or Roy G. Biv is an acronym for the sequence of hues commonly described as making up a rainbow.
I created 2 groups that have to do with the rainbow, or the color spectrum.
My other color group is ROY Warm Hues. The ROY stands for:
R ed
O range
Y ellow
Unfortunately, I got the letters a little mixed up for the Cool Hues Group... and I didn't even realize that until tonight!
The acronym "Roy G. Biv" is to help people remember the correct order of the colors. Ideally and correctly, the entire thing stands for:
R ed
O range
Y ellow
G reen
B lue
I ndigo
V iolet
So I should have named this Group; "GBIV Cool Hues 4 U." But I switched the 'G' (green) and the 'B' (blue) around by mistake! Oops... :P And I can't change the name of the group now, because I'd have to delete the group and start over!
At least I got the colors right. It does bother me some though because I tend to be a perfectionist. lol sigh...
The header of this group is a good guideline for what colors/hues fit the best in this group. Wallpapers in any color combinations of blue, purple, violet, green, and indigo are welcome. Walls with an emphasis on just one of these colors are also fine.
Incidentally, I started this Cool Hues group before I started the ROY Warm Hues Group. I started "Warm Hues" about 4 weeks later.
One quick way to find all of my groups is to type the word "homemade" into the search bar. That will bring them all up. At this time, I have five of them.

So its; blue, green, indigo and violet..., IOW, only cool hues of a rainbow. I'll remember it as such. Thanks for your answer! You must be a member of this group to post replies.
