According to the news, the nominations for the Nobel Peace prize closed at the end of February, and he was only sworn into office in January. Being awarded a Peace prize based on promises he has not even begun to fulfill seems ridiculous to me.
Maybe it is really just about the fact that he has dark skin and is US president. And not about the promises. I mean, some time ago the Nazis had problems with different races and even way of lives. Nazis haven't been around for such a long time. But in the USA, that Black/White conflict always lived very strong. The USA has black ghettos. Many felt angry when the first black went to a universality. And even killed because of that. In fact even the Pentagon itself is supposed to have special rooms for black and white. Those rooms got constructed because of a law in Virginia, but apparently the president Roosevelt insisted not to mark them as such. Since he himself banned discrimination in the federal government. I think Obama finally ganked racism in the USA. The president of the Unites States, isn't just any job. But they say it is the most powerful job in the world. And Obama is that president now. ^.^

http://www.snopes.com/military/pentagon.aspObama is in the position to tell people something about
differences indeed. And how wrong they can be. I don't know how really it looks now in the USA when it comes to racism. Surly somethings has changed by now. Especially after his election. But as far as I know. The last Black/White incident isn't so long ago. And the government even supported that unfairness. So that Obama became president is a great victory. And should inspire many people very much all over the world. I think he has a great amount of charisma, too.
However, now the pressure of expectations may go even higher. But Obama asks the right questions. I mentioned it once: When he was talking about that old black woman. Who actually most of her life had a lot of disadvantages, just because of her skin color and her gender. He asked why actually that is supposed to be so wrong. And put her into that position, she had to suffer. I don't think anybody actually gave there an answer. But his message was clear. And as longest he keeps asking such questions, people will keep thinking and come to the conclusion that so called
differences, actually most often are just an illusion. And certain people are only looking for trouble, since they have no real reason whatsoever.
And it is not just about skin color or gender. There are some other problems which can be with the same algorithm debugged!
