Pakistani police carry the coffin of Punjab Gov. Salman Taseer, shortly before burial in a cemetary in Lahore, Pakistan, 5 Jan 2011. One of his guards identified as Mumtaz Qadri, confessed to killing the governor because of his opposition to a controversial law on blasphemy.

------------

Admirers of the gunman, Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri, have set up a Facebook page to commemorate the killer. In a few short hours, the page has been flooded with hundreds of posts by supporters lionizing their newfound hero.

"May Allah protect Malik Mumtaz; he has indeed made us very proud as Muslims," reads one representative post written by Kamran Qureshi who, if his Facebook information is to be believed, resides in Lahore

In my opinion, this is culturalized religion at it's sickest.
God does not require human sacrifice, and is quite capable of dealing with whatever She considers "blasphemy" on Her own.

Why do you worry for them you should worry about yourself and know your bounds.

Yes, dualxseal, "Know thyself."
But you cannot drive a car or walk on a crowded sidewalk without concern for others.
In all, we live on a rather small planet, and the human race is one family, interdependent for survival.
You are a potential target for these warped individuals who accept lies as truth. If you choose not to be concerned -- hey, it's your life.

If you are unwilling to deal with sick belief systems that lead to senseless attacks on the innocent, you may one day find yourself in the shoes of those in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995.
And what some of them had to do was die.

It's true, to a point. One cannot honestly 'love' God, and hate others. It's tantamount to hating one's self as we were all created in God's image. So I would say it this way, If love of religion would drive us to murder, then it is left to us distrust that religion.

It's really about understanding on place and the place of others. God put us hear to learn and evolve. They are not religious nut cases they are really just using religious words to hide the fact that they just want to kill people. But let us not forget to pass the knowledge of GOD to others and say GOD name no matter what.

I think the whole world has gone crazy the taking of a life has become a every day event in some countries. A photo is taken of what looks like a guy in a trance then in a few months it will all be forgotton until the next attack maybe instead of looking at this guy it would be great if we could follow him back in time when he was a child and see who was it who formed this hatetred inside of him it frightens the hell out of me when I see little children holding rifles and guns being shown how to kill do we blame it on them when they get older and do it .
