I think Obama has done well for his first few months in office. He still has alot he can/needs to take care of of course. But what alot of folks seem to forget is that he is the president. Many people complain about him not going fast enough or hes doing "this" or "that" wrong. More people need to realize his job is not (by any means) an easy one.

Aside from the obvious and publice problems he has to deal with he also has many secret things im sure we dont see. His dog. His wife and children. His family in general. Other politicians that are always wanting their oppinion know (even if they are not asked) etc. He likely has a whole lot of problems and stress he has to deal with that may or may not have an output on what he does.

Some may say "hes the president and he needs to rise above all that" but its not easy for most people to handle their own home. He helps run the country. And thats another thing. He does not run the country by himself. He has help and its not all his fault when something goes wrong. He has a hard job and I think all things considered he is doing well.

Im interested in seeing how he does from here on.

One once said: "The president's job is a very lonely job."

Obama, has his advisers, but after all he is the one who has to make all the decision. And there is not much of room for crappy decisions in his position.

I have to wonder what he is going to do about the discrimination of black people and women. I think Barack Obama once asked, by telling about a very old black woman, in some indirect way: What's wrong with those people if anything?

I don't think anybody answered him. Because the answer is quite simple. Nothing is wrong with them!

True. Every race has the few people in them who are less than admirable. Youll find SOMEONE of every race is a jerk or racist or whatever. I dont believe anything is wrong with any race really. Its just some people never learn to treat others with respect

I'm afraid I don't really know. But I don't think that Obama, first talks and then does nothing. In fact, I read something about that health care thing. And it seems that the Democrats want to do, but the Republicans refuse. And that nothing can be done until both agree.

then it may very well be quite some time till we see results on this whole health care plan. We all know the Democrats and Republicans dont tend to see eye to eye on most things. They all have their pride and believe their way is best. I hope they can look past that and truly find a way thats best to help this country.

There is so much division now a days. So much focus on what makes folks different and not nearly enough focus on what we have in common (sorry to get a little off topic). I pray they will find a way to help the american people for the best.

I have to admit some time ago I was more for Republicans. Now I'm more for Democrats. Well, at least with Barack Obama, it is easier for me to trust them.

Barack Obama appears to me, to be more intelligent. I think the Republicans have the reputation to be stubborn. If one is stubborn, one doesn't want to change his/her opinion with some good reason.
