What do you think about the Spinwall going offline? Will it become a popular Software Concept?

Has Komodo considered it once? Because I don't think so...

If Spinwall gets offline, then the feature of being able to use Uploaded or Favored WPs from DN, will be lost. Which actually means, none will be willing to pay for it. And I think that Spinwall is meant to help to pay the bills of DN.

But now just thinking about an offline and free Spinwall, it may get very popular under free software and the wallpaper changers. If one really would want to give a away the online feature, of course. Because after all the online feature gives more use to Uploaded and Favored WPs.

But I could figure that there may be problems with the online feature. Because in order to use WPs, a user must upload. Which means that DMCA restricted or private WP, a user will not be able to use. Though, this could be solved with a third page of WPs on a profile, beside of Uploaded and Favored. Now that could be some special "Spinwall" Page. Only visible to the profile owner.

It could make it like this one:While Online,Spinwall downloads the new wallpapers from DN,and updates itself, whenever available;and while offline,it changes the wallpapers recently. It may become the best wallpaper software,if it will be so.

Unfortunately since SpinWall is subscription based, if it had the ability to operate in an offline mode, there would be no way to validate if an account is active or not (or when the trial expires). Beyond that, there are plenty of simple wallpaper rotators, however the advantage of SpinWall is it allows the user to change their background between the many thousands of images on Desktop Nexus, without using much hard-drive space (only a few megs), since everything is retained on our site rather than your computer.

Respected Sir,
That is must,as we download it from internet only, and immediately its activation could take place. Is it carrying the commands like that of Kaspersky, which disables itself after a period of 14 days?Thats the better technique,as then SW would be used worldwidely

i tried this ! but i thnk the admin have a point there that this is a subscription based the longest you are online the longest you can use spinwall... that's why before using the software might have to enter your userid and pass. But in addition the fact that i like the suggestion of kunind when you are offline its should work as well, using our hard disk. So more people would like to download this software and this site become so popular to all not just for member of this site but also for those peeps likes to have cool and random wallpapers.
