Regarding the "openness" of the fan system, all that information was public already, this just combines it in a central location.

The idea is if you find you have similar interests with another member, and you see them commenting "Nice photo!" on another person's wallpaper, perhaps you'll check that image out and like it as well.

If you're worried about privacy, when you post a comment on a wallpaper, you know anyone on the site could see it. This is no different.

What I am thinking about doing though, is allow more granular control over members you're a fan of. Perhaps rather than receiving all their updates, you can start receiving only what you want, like being able to select to see just their uploads, or only their uploads and favorites. I'm imagining a row for each member you're a fan of, with checkboxes for each type of action you want to follow... essentially giving you complete control over what you do and don't want to see. Alternatively on the Recent Activity page, perhaps we could add a new row of tabs up top allowing you to filter between: "See All Updates", "See Only Wallpaper Related Updates", "See Discussion Activity", etc.

What specifically do you not like about how it looks? You feel the background is boring; I do plan on allowing that to be customized in the near future. Do you dislike the blue/white mostly? What about it hits you wrong?

It takes getting used to, but if you say that you allow to customize the backround in the near future it's ok for me. But where are "comments recieved" or "comments posted"?

I think you did a great job. It is a vast improvement. I love the fan idea.

I tried to add my current desktop. I pasted in the address, clicked save, and 20 mins later it was still saving and the page was frozen. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?
