| Posted by Kunind, 7/8/09 5:44 AM - Permalink But simplicity is the thing kept mostly in care in making sites.And that point goes now at DN.By Contraction,It would make somehow complicated to the beginners at Internet to detect wallpapers of their choice.Digital Art maybe contracted,but the "Photography" is a gallery making some complication to the surfers.So,I like DN as-it-is as it is designed carefully,as people enjoy the easy surfing here. |

The Titanic would probably fit pretty well under Cruise Ships, but gem stones? Hum... looking around there's a handful of gem wallpapers, but I'm not sure there's enough to justify an entire category being created for them. |

| Posted by shieldmaiden, 7/25/09 9:52 PM - Permalink Could you set up Major Categories such as FARM ANIMALS and then add sub-catagories - cows, sheep, pigs, etc. Excluding horses, which could have the following subs: Andalusian, Appaloosa, Arab, Painted, Mustang,etc. I'm sure a horse aficionada like Spanish Girl would be an excellent resourse.
or maybe NORTH AMERICAN WILDLIFE - subs: deer, foxes, etc.? AFRICAN WILDLIFE - subs: elephants, giraffes, impala, etc. AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE - subs: kangaroos & wallabies, Tasmanian devils, wombats, etc.
This is already done with some groups, e.g. Anime and it makes it easier to find things.
Although it seems like a pain, Ithink it would make the site easier to use and maintain, as you can always add more subs if enough wallpapers are uploaded on specific topics.
Horses definitely need to be split up - I have finally gotten around to putting favourites on my profile, and just spent 1/2 an hour looking for a horse profile and never did find it!
Would it make sense to add the newest wallpapers at the end so that some sort of chronological order can be maintained, i.e. the oldest at page 1 newest page (whatever)? This would save alot of time if you want to check for new uploads in a category. Last Edit: 7/27/09 at 11:20 pm |
