There really are some extremely talented people there who deserve recognition, and to not have their work stolen. Many of them SELL their stuff--and if it's put up free-for-the-taking on DN it's not fair to them. The only problem I had (and still have) with some DA Members is THE WAY THEY GO ABOUT THINGS....Instead of privately contacting the Desktop Nexus Member via PM about the art in question, many DeviantArt Members would rather leave very public and rude "art-thief" comments on the display page of the wallpaper, or on the page of the DN Member. THAT is not cool. And it's not the way we do things here. We at DN pride ourselves at being as nice as we can be to people. After all, this is a family-oriented site and many of our Members are just young ones, too. I joined DeviantArt a little while back so that I could leave a thread to them to stop hassling DN Members----AND WAS CALLED EVERYTHING BUT A WHITE BOY by tons of DA Members! I mean they said F++k You and everything else to me. That kind of talk would not be tolerated here at DN. Having said that, I admit that I shouldn't have stooped to their level by creating an account just for that (like many of them do). Since then, I haven't went back to that account. I'll just let it fade away. I just think DeviantArt Members need to get it through their heads to use the Report This Wallpaper button, contact the DN Member PRIVATELY via PM, and/or contact Admin......NOT go calling people names like "art-theif" and such right off the bat. Some of us , at the time we downloaded the wallpaper DIDN'T EVEN KNOW that it was done by a DA Member. Google Image-Search takes you to anywhere the image may be found, and many times it's other than DeviantArt.....So DA, please lighten-up a bit. Go about things in a dignified way. And to DN Members: If you are contacted by a DA Member, and the wallpaper truly IS one of theirs, do the right thing and apologize/explain, then DELETE IT. Don't p=== them off more by ignoring them. THAT'S WHY many of them have left the rude comments....because when they tried to deal with it the correct way they were ignored. A couple of good freinds of mine are DA Members, and they are very talented people who deserve respect for their work.
