Hey guys, Hope you had a nice Christmas, I am still having problems with the Jump to menu, I left a distress call on the 18th of December and it still has not been responded to by your admin ppl with any advise, I know there are a couple of typos in that msg, but even with those I thought I was pretty clear in what the problem was, but incase I wasn't I will recap, "as soon as I try to jump forward pages using the jump to menu It takes me back to page 1 everytime" . I am using windows 7 with the version of explorer that comes with that, 8 I think, and was using the same operating system and version of Explorer prior to the problems starting. Any advise PLEASE!!!!! Damsel in disress :)

Hello!!
Wellllll.....I guess I'll have to figure this one out myself. It's funny how people can't tell you WHERE the Jump-To menu is not working correctly. I tested it on Homepage by clicking More, and after the initial page, I used the click on the number as well as the drop-down box to Jump-To a further page...worked fine for me! I then went to the Animals category....did the same thing. Used the Jump-To menu to page 77 and 109..worked fine for me. I then went to the Boats category..
it also worked. Try to tell us WHERE on the site the Jump-To didn't work and we'll be happy to look at it. Thanks!

who knows for sure, but this could be one of two possibilities...

either a programming error with the site itself,
or your web browser is blocking the running of scripts.

if it's a programming error with the site, then categories or sub categories where it is not working is good information to know.

otherwise, all modern browsers have the abilities to block the running of scripts on web sites of your choosing.... and this is a setting in the preferences of whatever browser you are using. most notable is firefox, with the no scripts addon. i don't know about IE, since i use a mac, but the newest version probably has that capability. you would have to check the options or preferences to see if it is there, and if it is, then whether or not it is enabled. since DN is heavily dependent on scripts, javascript, php scripts, ajax, what ever, if you were blocking scripts, then most of the site should not be working... so the actual sub categories where the Jump-To menu scripts are not working would be good for the site programmers to know.

good luck with it
