Many of you have probably heard about the Pontiac brand being terminated by GM (causing over 21,000 jobs to be lost). I just stumbled across an article discussing the five cars that drove the company into the ground, and found it interesting: Article Link

It's the Pontiac G8, Aztek, Montana, G3, Torrent, and G8 ST.

Anyone own one of these cars? Have any personal experiences? Agree/disagree?

Disagree. I've not owned a Pontiac since I was 16, but I know Pontiac was having lots of problems with the wiring harnesses on the G6 models. And as for the Montana's problems there were electrical, computer, and transmission/transfer casings that kept cracking for no known reason. The Aztek was just downright ugly, they were dependable but ugly. The only thing I heard was wrong with the G8 was the vortec engine's fuel-air mixture was never constant enough to keep it running like it should. The Torrent or the G3: I don't have a clue!

I think it was more of a political decision, They dumped Oldsmobile a few years ago and after going to the government for bailouts, they had to streamline there production by doing away with Pontiac and Saturn. They could have done away with Buick but the Chinese like Buick's so they kept it.
I think through the years Pontiac was one of the best and innovative branches of GM
