And yes, I think he has the skill to become one. He maybe clumsy and not so dignified but he can become so cool sometimes.

I agree with what most people on here have said.  If Ash became a Master, that would be the end of it.  They can't do it!  I think the show is great this way.  They couldn't even try to introduce a new character, or have someone take Ash's place.  It's just not an option.  I would be livid.

anyway no he cant because the tv series has to have something to do and if ash was a master all it would be is ash showing off or something.

I agree with that idea, he's good but not the best. Besides think about if he actually had one the kanto pokemon league he would have had no reason go to the orange islands, johto, hoen,  or sinnoh.
