| Posted by farinelli, 8/17/09 4:59 PM - Permalink mkay since I always have really weird dreams, I thought that I would post this and see if anyone else has oddly abstract dreams too!! I will start off by relaying some of mine:
(Caution: may be disturbing) A man was lying on the floor, and his stomach was missing.
A great gaping hole was subsiding in the place where his entrails belonged, and out of the sides of his stomach, were tentacles looking simular to Project Nemeses. There was an even amount of them, I think the same amount as the standard lug-nut count on a truck. Another man was standing above him, yelling and screaming for him to hold on, and that he was going to help him. A second later, the standing man pulled a round thing out of a backpack. It was about the size of a large beach ball, and it was a dark color, maybe black or grey.
The man started shoving this ball into the hole in the other man's stomach. It was essentially to big, and would not fit, but nevertheless he kept shoving. As if on cue, the tentacles reached out and grasped the dark ball shaped object. As soon as the tentacles enclosed the object, it sprouted legs, and to my dismay, turned into a crab, and started shoving and crawling its way into the mans torso. By this time, he was screaming for help, but the standing man was to panic stricken, and would not help, for fear of being attacked by the crab.
And here is where I woke myself up because it just got too weird.... |

| Posted by farinelli, 8/17/09 5:01 PM - Permalink and here is another one... i am still trying to figure out what it means lol:
Uptown. The town of ups and downs. Consisting of a downtown level, and a uptown level, the latter being higher then the first, connected not with a horizontal street, but a street at the angle of about 45 degrees. (*see bottom) My happening took place in the uptown- I never reached the downtown, and I am not so sure I wanted to after what happened. The streets of Uptown were made of cardboard. It was rather thick cardboard, pastly and brown. I was walking down one of the main streets of uptown, which were deserted, when I noticed there was an opening in the slats of cardboard. My curiosity got the better of me, and so I leaned down to see what was going on. To my surprise, when I leaned down to observe, I was suddenly ensnared in what seemed to be a trap. Little did I know of the miscreant actions of "the uptowners", who actually lived underneath Uptown, and made their homes in the cardboard streets. Explanation: The Uptowners were an odd sort of people, who were very pale, like that of cave creatures. This probably came from living under the streets with very little sunshine. Their tendencies were to make traps made of carpet strings to catch wondering Downtowners, so they could keep them as pets, since they (the uptowners) were so lonely. Going back to earlier, I found myself tangled in one of these carpet string traps, and to my dismay, I was pulled into the depths of the cardboard cobblestones. I looked around my surroundings, and noticed that the furnishings were scarce. The only things that occupied the room were a bookshelf and a chair that was piled high with clutter of various sorts. Under the chair was a bag of powdered doughnuts, and a carton of stale lemon stack cookies. There was also a carpet, which was so dirty and disgusting that I cringed with mild repulsion at the thought of me being helpless on top of it. There were crumbs strewn about all over the floor. I noticed there was a door into a hallway, and I determined that this whole place was a maze in itself. There was a few Uptowners, who like the carpet, were dirty and unkempt. I didn't want to talk at first, but then after a while, I found out that they like to get into long and frenzied debates. They also like balloons. I was just thinking of a way to get out when I woke up.

| Posted by larisa, 8/17/09 5:05 PM - Permalink OMGosh! I think I would have to start drinking if I had a dream like that! I'm just kidding, sorta, lol, .... but seriously, I never remember my dreams. Even if they wake me up and I can remember for a while but I still always end up forgetting them later. I do however, have recurring dreams of being on top of a roller coaster, the unsafe part, or any other very tall structure like a bridge, and I contribute that to me fear of heights. Maybe your dream is a sub-conscious fear of shellfish ?? Last Edit: 8/17/09 at 5:06 pm |

| Posted by melissa321KABOOM, 8/17/09 8:14 PM - Permalink what dreams farinelli both were pretty disturbing, i enjoyed reading dreams are fun and sometimes their not. i myself had many many weird, gruesome, scary, bloody dreams and some were funny and some were more X rated. i can draw and color pages and books of what i dreamed, cause i still remember all of them like if i dreamed it last night. this isn't bloody but was kinda distrurbing: this dream i had before was about a hurricane hitting New Orleans and then 5 days later BAM there you go Hurricane Katrina happens. these dreams i've had were repeated a couple of times : it's setting is similar to Sin City the sky was red and dark but also people's eyes were missing and looked like they wanted to... i don't know what they want to to me but... yeah lol. they didn't seem like zombies neither though has anyone had dreams where you only see your hands and feet? or when you see yourself in distance? |

| Posted by farinelli, 8/17/09 8:23 PM - Permalink Yes!! (directed at Melissa) I have dreams all the time where I am seeing myself in 3rd person... sometimes I can change who I am or what i look like I have lots of dreams where I can run in the air... that was creepy about Katrina.... wow you couldve warned them!!! That reminds me of a dream that my mom had........................... she explained it all in great detail, down to what everyone was wearing and how the talked and everything, but I can't do it justice... It was about a terrorist attack at my school... when she told it to me I was all paraniod when i was walking around the halls & stuff.... Luckily, it never happened |

| Posted by larisa, 8/17/09 9:05 PM - Permalink Wait until you become pregnant, ladies, THEN you will have some wild dreams!! They are so much more vivid then any dream I have ever had and I still remember the dream I had when I was pregnant with my first child. Just don't ever watch any creepy movies like Pet Cemetary when you are pregnant is all I can say.
