Is there a way to download the pictures without having them automatically resized to my desktop settings? I prefer to do my own cropping and resizing with Photoshop.

Sure..you can do your own thing... When you download, look in the top right corner of the screen, there you will see Options. When opened, you can choose different sizes or cropping options, but it also offers to Download the Original.....
