I tend not to frequent airshows but spend my time hanging about operational airfields. I am wondering what is most popular, display type shots or raw military aircraft coming and going. What do you prefer ?

As I am an Air Force brat my brothers and I went to the base airshows as often as we could talk Dad into taking us, back when the B-52 were still considered new and the
B-58 was THE aircraft of the time. Havent been to one of these shhows in yaers and kinda miss the action and all the sights

Watching fighters in take off formation at night with formation lights, full after burner, and actually feeling the noise was always a rush for me.
