I'm not an expert either but I see golf as a very harmonic and passionate game. The green trimmed meadows, that tinny little white ball, the other long iron thing and those small Hobbit hills are shrouding everything with the mystery of heaven.
I think one could play it alone but it also can be very social. With your boy/girlfriend your could pretend teaching and get this way touches for free. Also when playing against your enemies you simply could beat the hell out of them with that iron club!
... well, at least this is how I would have played golf!
