how can i put a background in my profile does any of you know ???

You can choose an existing layout. Or, hit MySpace Editor on the left and create your own layout. When done get the code, paste it in "About Me" area of your profile and save the settings

NOTE: Before saving anything in your DN profile, open THIS page in two separate tabs in case you mess up with the layout. Experiment in one, and if anything goes wrong and you can no longer access your profile page, use the second one to reset the layout (just enter "blablabla" in "About Me" and hit "Save")

What are you talking about? Admin even reset one's profile because he messed with the layout. A lot of members are using it, and there is nothing "illegal" (whatever you mean by that) about it.

I really don't understand why you make such a big deal of it

It is only your thought. No one thinks that way. You don't like it, it is OK. But please don't say it makes DN "dirty" or anything and ask people not to add some "personality" to their profiles. It is user's personal choice to do so. As i sad, administration is OK with and so are many members.
