A veteran police officer decided to take up a new radar post where the department had been getting numerous complaints of speeding drivers. Not even ten minutes after taking this new post he clocked a speeder going 74 in a 45 mph zone!

Walking up to the driver the officer asks for registration and driver's license. Then looking over his glasses at the teenage boy driver the officer states, "Boy, I have been waiting for you all day."

In which the boy replies, "I got here as quick as I could."

It's not a joke, joke for the people who don't get it. he said that to make the cop laugh so he could get off with a warning, but it is very funny.

It was funny, and I don't get what's so hard to get about it. It's just for a laugh!

I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about it myself. It does sound like something I might do...if I were the type to speed, that is. ^_^
