Christmas really right from the beginning was only about the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas trees began in Germany. Gift giving began as an expression of the first gifts that were brought to Jesus at the manger where He was born. ~~ Today Christians and non-Christians continue to bring out the trees for decorating and gifts for loved ones and those recalling Christ's birth and meaning in their personal lives are celebrating His birth and life here on Earth.
All will agree that, particularly here in our country, it has become a reason, and season, for commercialism. Children have therefore become "brainwashed" into expectivenss and greediness~~not entirely their faults naturally. But. as a result of adults not bringing to them that real reason for this time of celebration. However, it has gone on for quite sometime now!

I agree. Some people see christmas like something else, they think that there's they opportunity to have the thing they always wanted. But, christmas its not that at all, its to appreciate what we have and thank jesus for everyhing he has giving us: like our family, health, and a beatiful planet called earh.
